Homesteaded back in 1881 by Grandfather Salisbury, Saddle Pocket been witness to the changes of the
West in the past century. The likes of mountaineers Jim Bridger and Jeremiah Johnson trapped and hunted
this land. Indians and outlaws roamed the mountains and valleys. Indeed Saddle Pocket ranch is the scene

Mountains their names. From frontier battleground to a working Western ranch, yet its beauty remains

Special Activities
We spent a few nights at Saddle Pocket Ranch, while exploring Butch Cassidy country along the Colorado & Wyoming border. We were also able to spend time at a great local museum in nearby Savery, where a
rifle that belonged to the Sundance Kid is on display, along with many other items of western significance.
This is a beautiful place, with lots to see and do in the area.
